Usage tips

In external use, it is advisable to dilute thehemlock essential oil in vegetable oil. A dilution dose of 20% essential oil and 80% vegetable oil is recommended. The preparation obtained can be used as a massage oil, to be applied locally to the areas to be treated.

In atmospheric diffusion, it purifies the ambient air and prevents winter diseases. It is also possible to take advantage of its calming effects when inhaled. To do this, pour a few drops of essential oil into a bowl of boiling water and inhale the steam, or pour the drops inside the wrists and breathe in from time to time.

For oral administration, the usual dosage is 1 to 2 drops mixed with olive oil or honey.

Contraindications

The use of hemlock essential oil is to be avoided in pregnant and breastfeeding women as well as in children under 6 years of age. For dermal administration, it is important to always dilute it in vegetable oil. Indeed, its use in the pure form can lead to skin irritations.
