Premature aging: known and unknown causes that accelerate aging

As you age, your body’s internal processes, from renewing skin cells to recovering from a workout, slow down and take longer to recharge. This reveals visible signs of aging, such as wrinkles and fatigue. These changes can be surprising if they occur sooner than expected, hence the term premature aging. It’s impossible to completely avoid these changes, but there are ways to reduce the signs of aging in your body, especially if they happen before you’re ready to accept them.

What are the signs of premature aging ?

The aging process is different for everyone, but some signs of aging are considered “premature” if you notice them before age 35.

– Spots on the skin:

Many lifestyle habits can contribute to premature agingeven if they are not the primary cause.

Sleep Patterns: Sleep gives your body the opportunity to regenerate cells. Poor sleep quality is linked to increased signs of aging and reduced skin barrier function.

Diet: Some research suggests that eating a diet high in refined sugars can damage the skin over time.
