Properties of Ceylon lemongrass essential oil

Externally, through the skin

To make a massage oil, mix 2 drops of essential oil and 1 tablespoon of carrier oil.

For soothe irritation caused by mosquito bitesapply 1 drop of pure essential oil on the pimple.

To benefit from its expectorant properties, pour 5 to 10 drops of essential oil into a liquid soap. Use the mixture for your bath. It also soothes joint pain.


Place 1 drop in the inner face of each wrist and breathe from time to time in order to clear the nasal passages in case of a cold or flu.

In atmospheric diffusion

Pour 2 to 3 drops of essential oil into the diffuser.

Mistrust of use

Ceylon lemongrass essential oil is not suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women or children under 6 years old.

Caution is also advised regarding cutaneous applications. Indeed, some skin irritation more or less serious can occur. It is therefore preferable to perform a test beforehand in the bend of the elbow to prevent any allergic reactions. Also avoid exposure to the sun after each application.
