The detox cure, what is it for?

Toxins are waste that the body produces, either during digestion (proteins and fats in particular), or in reaction to its environment: tobacco, stress, pollution, drugs, additives, etc.

What problems do toxins pose?

In principle none, since the body is sufficiently “equipped” (liver, kidneys, immune system, etc.) to eliminate them on its own. To do this, opt for natural foods. Dishes and processed industrial products are full of additives (flavourings, colorings, flavor enhancers, preservatives, etc.) which, although they are not a priori harmful to health, remain chemical compounds not suitable for the human body.

For these same reasons, promote foods from organic farming, devoid of pesticides.

Limit fats and stimulants

There is little better than coffee, tobacco and alcohol to produce toxins. Try to remove them completely, at least for a few days. This will also allow you to take stock of your addictions.

Also ease off on animal protein. Meat, fish, dairy products and eggs cause, during their degradation, a significant production of ketone bodies.

Drink 1.5 liters a day

Bet on fruits and vegetables because they are rich in vitamins and antioxidant minerals, they give a boost to the body and help it to perk up. The water and fibers they contain also facilitate transit and drainage.

Prefer whole grains, rich in fiber, vitamins (B) and minerals (magnesium, iron, etc.) essential for tone. They contain vegetable proteins: by associating them which, if they are associated with those of pulses, allow you to temporarily do without meat, fish and eggs.

Oxygenate yourself

Getting some fresh air helps to relaunch exchanges within the body. Walk in a place protected from any pollution (ideally sea or mountain) and breathe deeply.
